The Opening

He waited in there, till he saw it, or felt it, the light,

Then he took his one shot and went for the opening, the opening

I waited in there, back then, till I found my way to the light

Where did this magic compass go that once led me to the opening, the opening

Strange this gift of life that we are thrown into

I wish I could I remember what it’s like when everything is new

Seems none of us can, must be an instinct to forget

Yet, what I don’t remember, won’t leave me be like that

It’s not even a feeling, more a shiver, or a shade

Or a memory of a memory, the faint sound of a parade marching towards…

The Opening

A new light that shines on the right thing

A moment where everything is changing

Where we do what we do without hesitating

And only when it’s over you know

You just went through the opening

I’m waiting these days for somebody to show me the light

A waste of time, I know, there is no one there to take me to the opening, the opening

I’m hating choices these days, they stand between me and the light

A waste of energy, I know, there is no way around them to the opening, the opening

Strange this gift of life that we must grow into

I wish I could remember what it felt like to be brand new

Seems none of us can, must be a reason we forget

Yet what we don’t remember won’t leave me be like that

It’s not even a feeling, more a shiver or a shade

Or a memory of a memory, the faint sound of a parade marching towards…

The opening,

A new light that shines on the right thing

A moment where everything is changing

Where we do what we do without hesitating

And only when it’s over you know

You just went through

The opening, the opening

The opening, the opening
